Shared Reading Vocab 22/8



The bullies tried to goad him into telling the teachers.

As I took a bite out of my garlic bread my stomach sated.

My house after the earthquake was derelict.

The person seemed hemmed as he was frozen in ice.

The Sahara desert is very dry and bleak.

Words Are: 

Goad - provoke or annoy (someone) so as to stimulate an action or reaction.
Sated - satisfy (a desire or an appetite) to the full.
Derelict - in a very poor condition as a result of disuse and neglect.
Hemmed - surround and restrict the space or movement of someone or something.
and 
Bleak - lacking vegetation and exposed to the elements.
