Hansel and Gretel's Revenge

“Our revenge.” Concluded Gretel. Having escaped the witches candy house, the brother and sister wanted to make sure the cruel witch got her just deserts for capturing them for weeks. As most would not expect, the malevolent lady made it out of the oven alive and kept on capturing defenceless young children. Gretel wanted to put a stop to this atrocious behaviour so they wanted to be rid of her, forever. Their devilish plan was not to be. The old lady had heard everything.

Hansel decided the best way to do this was to buy a wand to explode her with. Meanwhile, the witch applied for a job at the wand store. Luckily for her, the counter job was open. When Hansel and Gretel ambled over to the store the next day, they asked the woman if they could have a very powerful wand. She replied, “Oh yes my dears let me find you one!”
She wandered behind the curtain that separated the counter from the store room. She lolloped around, looking for a broken one. She came to one with a red sticky note attached.
It read: BROKEN WAND DO NOT TOUCH!
“Yes, this will do” she cackled to herself. Ripping the sticky note off, she took it to the counter.
“Here you are kidlets, have fun!” she said in a disturbing sing-song voice.

They dashed back home and ripped open the plastic packaging. Without the sticky note on, the wand looked perfectly eligible for use.
“Lets bring her to us!” Gretel yelled. Carefully, Hansel took the wand off his little sister.
“We must be careful, Gretel.” said Hansel
“You don’t know what it’s capable of. Shouldn’t we test it first?”
“NO! I WANNA KILL HER!” Gretel cried in an enthused rage. Adrenaline pumping through her, she snatched the wand of her older brother
“Abracadabra, bring the witch to us!” she chanted.
A bolt of electricity fizzed out of the end and a beam of purple lightning flew out of it. The purple beam pointed to where Gretel had aimed it. After a minute, something seemed very wrong.

“It’s broken!” Gretel sobbed. Just then the witch appeared. But instead of there being one of her, there was another nine witches that looked exactly like her!
“It… it… there is ten…” Hansel stuttered. The wicked woman laughed.
“That wand is faulty so there is no hope for you now. I will capture you, boil you both and eat you alive!”
Nevertheless, the young Gretel hadn’t given up yet.
“Abracadabra, make the witch explode!” she shrieked. Once again, nothing happened.

Once another minute had passed, the purple beam reacted. WHOOMPH! The explosion was so big that it actually split the whole Earth in two! The witch screamed as her body was pulverised. The explosion had done it. Her mangled body lay in bits on the floor, lifeless. There was no hope left for her now. But soon Hansel and Gretel would be the same if they didn’t do something quickly!

The Earth was ablaze. The siblings stood there in complete and utter panic. Fire swirling around them, Hansel came up with a genius idea.
“Abracadabra send us to the moon!” He yelled. They closed their eyes. This time the purple beam showed no hesitation. When they opened their eyes, everything was dark and strangely tranquil. They also realised something else.

“I can’t breathe!” mouthed Gretel. They had made the mistake not to get helmets and space suits. Hansel had a worried look on his face. He looked down. He identified that they were on a red, dusty surface, and the land was smothered with volcanoes!

Mars… Hansel realised. They were on Mars! Despite it being small Hansel and Gretel could see Earth from where they were. A ball of blazing fire. Nothing on Earth had any chance of surviving there now. Hansel and Gretel were running out of air. Their faces were red from the lack of oxygen. BOOM! Behind them a great big blast. Volcanic ash clouded the air and rocks spitted out of the sky.

The volcanic rock struck her body with so much force. Bloody and dishevelled, Gretel was fading fast. She couldn’t hold her breath as long and blood was teeming out of her skin. She mouthed “sorry” to Hansel. Hansel, now struggling for breath, was helpless. After a few minutes the pair had perished on the red planet. No human or animal inhabited Earth ever again. Earth became one of many balls of fire whizzing through the endless space.
