Hansel and Gretel's Revenge

“Our revenge.” Concluded Gretel. Having escaped the witches candy house, the brother and sister wanted to make sure the cruel witch got her just deserts for capturing them for weeks. As most would not expect, the malevolent lady made it out of the oven alive and kept on capturing defenceless young children. Gretel wanted to put a stop to this atrocious behaviour so they wanted to be rid of her, forever. Their devilish plan was not to be. The old lady had heard everything.

Hansel decided the best way to do this was to buy a wand to explode her with. Meanwhile, the witch applied for a job at the wand store. Luckily for her, the counter job was open. When Hansel and Gretel ambled over to the store the next day, they asked the woman if they could have a very powerful wand. She replied, “Oh yes my dears let me find you one!”
She wandered behind the curtain that separated the counter from the store room. She lolloped around, looking for a broken one. She came to one with a red sticky note attached.
It read: BROKEN WAND DO NOT TOUCH!
“Yes, this will do” she cackled to herself. Ripping the sticky note off, she took it to the counter.
“Here you are kidlets, have fun!” she said in a disturbing sing-song voice.

They dashed back home and ripped open the plastic packaging. Without the sticky note on, the wand looked perfectly eligible for use.
“Lets bring her to us!” Gretel yelled. Carefully, Hansel took the wand off his little sister.
“We must be careful, Gretel.” said Hansel
“You don’t know what it’s capable of. Shouldn’t we test it first?”
“NO! I WANNA KILL HER!” Gretel cried in an enthused rage. Adrenaline pumping through her, she snatched the wand of her older brother
“Abracadabra, bring the witch to us!” she chanted.
A bolt of electricity fizzed out of the end and a beam of purple lightning flew out of it. The purple beam pointed to where Gretel had aimed it. After a minute, something seemed very wrong.

“It’s broken!” Gretel sobbed. Just then the witch appeared. But instead of there being one of her, there was another nine witches that looked exactly like her!
“It… it… there is ten…” Hansel stuttered. The wicked woman laughed.
“That wand is faulty so there is no hope for you now. I will capture you, boil you both and eat you alive!”
Nevertheless, the young Gretel hadn’t given up yet.
“Abracadabra, make the witch explode!” she shrieked. Once again, nothing happened.

Once another minute had passed, the purple beam reacted. WHOOMPH! The explosion was so big that it actually split the whole Earth in two! The witch screamed as her body was pulverised. The explosion had done it. Her mangled body lay in bits on the floor, lifeless. There was no hope left for her now. But soon Hansel and Gretel would be the same if they didn’t do something quickly!

The Earth was ablaze. The siblings stood there in complete and utter panic. Fire swirling around them, Hansel came up with a genius idea.
“Abracadabra send us to the moon!” He yelled. They closed their eyes. This time the purple beam showed no hesitation. When they opened their eyes, everything was dark and strangely tranquil. They also realised something else.

“I can’t breathe!” mouthed Gretel. They had made the mistake not to get helmets and space suits. Hansel had a worried look on his face. He looked down. He identified that they were on a red, dusty surface, and the land was smothered with volcanoes!

Mars… Hansel realised. They were on Mars! Despite it being small Hansel and Gretel could see Earth from where they were. A ball of blazing fire. Nothing on Earth had any chance of surviving there now. Hansel and Gretel were running out of air. Their faces were red from the lack of oxygen. BOOM! Behind them a great big blast. Volcanic ash clouded the air and rocks spitted out of the sky.

The volcanic rock struck her body with so much force. Bloody and dishevelled, Gretel was fading fast. She couldn’t hold her breath as long and blood was teeming out of her skin. She mouthed “sorry” to Hansel. Hansel, now struggling for breath, was helpless. After a few minutes the pair had perished on the red planet. No human or animal inhabited Earth ever again. Earth became one of many balls of fire whizzing through the endless space.

Weekly reflections week 3

This week was quite good as I managed my 30,000 weekly vocab points and got my Little Red Riding Hood done. I am doing quite well with staying on top of my work and am getting things done rather quickly. We have a new principal coming soon and our teacher is the principal until she comes. I also finally am able to customise my blog because I got admin yesterday for my blogger. When our new principal comes then I think things will still be going well here at Lake Brunner. This week has been really good!

Quick Write 15/8

As I skipped gracefully down the street, humming a joyful tune, I was impatient to tell my mum the wonderful news! How on Earth had I won $1,000,000 from just $1. It was crazy. I couldn't resist having a smile on my face as the suitcase containing the money made its way with me. In fact, considering my luck today I think I better go back and have another go. Maybe I’ll get another $1,000,000!

Little Red Riding Hood My Version

It has been one month since Little Red Riding Hood was freed from the big bad wolf but his brother wants revenge on her. The big bad wolf's brother is called Jerry so I will call him that too. On the fateful day that this story takes place, Little Red Riding Hood was going to granny's house again. Jerry enlisted the help of the three little pigs and he sprinted down to the hardware store and bought a mallet.

As Little Red Riding Hood skipped in the forest with her long red hood bouncing to the rhythm of her steps,, she approached the three little pigs.

“Hello there, three little pigs, what are you doing way out here in the woods?” Little Red Riding Hood enquired. The three little pigs wanted desperately to tell her what was happening. But they couldn’t. They couldn’t tell her that Jerry was enslaving them to fulfill his murderous work. He threatened that if they told Little Red Riding Hood that he wanted to murder her, then he would eat them up. Little Red Riding Hood trusted the pigs to travel with her to granny’s house.

When they arrived there Jerry was standing at the door, holding granny. He held a knife to her throat.

“One step forward, and your grandmother dies” he snarled. Little Red Riding Hood started shouting at him fiercely, but the three little pigs covered her mouth and held her arms and legs tight.

“What is the meaning of this?!” she cried, her voice muffled by the little pig’s hand.

“This, is my revenge.” Jerry growled. Little Red Riding Hood wrestled free of the pigs grip and lunged at the wolf. Jerry caught the girl and brandished the mallet. In one movement, he brought the mallet crashing down hard on her skull, knocking her out cold. Then he picked her up and dropped her into his mouth and ate her up in one gulp.

Granny was shocked and was furious. A surge of adrenaline rushed through her. She twisted free of Jerry’s grasp and snatched the knife he was holding. She slit the wolf’s stomach open, killing him instantly. In there she noticed Little Red Riding Hood. Granny reached for her. Little Red Riding Hood seized granny’s hand and tried levering herself out. She was wedged in there. Granny tried hard to pull her out but it was no use. Little Red Riding Hood was too far wedged in there. She fell headfirst into his stomach and they both died from stomach acid.

As granny and Little Red Riding Hood had perished in the stomach acid and Jerry died from being cut open, the three little pigs were freed from being Jerry’s slaves. They all lived sadly ever after because Little Red Riding Hood had died. Mysteriously, after they left granny’s house, they went missing and were never heard from again...

‘The cats out of the bag now!’ whispered Sven. I was nervous and worried that I’d get in trouble. I sent a message to the whole class about me disliking our teacher. It was meant to be to a friend. One of the teachers pets will get it and will give it to Ms Jakowakla. She gave us bad punishments if were were naughty. Sure enough, the next day I was in the principal’s office for it. I got suspended because what I said was rude and grounded at home. When I got home I worked on a new invention. It would erase peoples memory of any bad things. It worked when I got back to school! It was amazing. It was like I didn't do anything wrong! But I haven't had time to go and do it to the whole town and so people in the local community still hate me. I hope it doesn’t go round further than just the town, or even worse, back to Ms Jakowakla.

Quick write 13 August

‘Leave me alone I’m about to watch the lights in the sky!’ Pauline bellowed. ‘It is a perseid and they will impact right around here so we need to get out of here!’ I exclaimed. ‘NO!’ She snapped ‘I’ve never seen a meteor shower and I wanna see it happen!’ ‘But you’ll die!’ I said in desperation. It was no use. She would be hit by the meteor shower. ‘I’m outta here anyway.’ I said. Her eyes were like never before, almost lit up by the sky. She turned to me. ‘Don’t you want to see it too?’ Pauline asked. ‘No! If you were smart then you’d be outta here and coming with me!’ I yelled. ‘No!’ She yelled. I ran. I didn’t want to die. She was never heard from again...

Weekly Reflection Week 3

This week I and pretty pleased with how I've done. Still haven't done Khan though. Khan Academy will take a while to complete because I seem to only get 1% every time I do it. All of my stuff is up to date and I have a good idea for what to do with my personal inquiry. I did my little red riding hood scratch and hopefully my blog can be a bit more personalised next week. I still need to write my version of little red riding hood but it is due next week so I will finish it then. My highlight of this week was my Vocab score. I have over 30,000 points this week and over 40,000 overall. I got 25 in a row and mastered some more words on it too. This week has been really good and I'm looking forward to next week!

Keiheangataniwha lake quick write

At Keiheangataniwha lake on a scorching hot day the lake's blue surface rippled and swirled. It was deathly calm. Myth's have gone around about Keiheangataniwha lake having an actual taniwha in it (taniwha is like the Lochness Monster)! That's how it got the name Keiheangataniwha. Kei hea nga taniwha means where the taniwha lives in Maori. Although it has it's frightening myths - Keiheangataniwha lake is still a popular place. But on this day, Keiheangataniwha lake has no fishermen there. The sun shone brightly, almost giving the water an unearthly glow. The water had never seen such calm days. Then all of a sudden, a colossal spout of water leaps in the air!

Fortnite - All Night? Kiwi Kids News featured articles

Q1. If this line of argument is right, what are the implications for teenagers playing? What are the implications for adults playing?
Q2. What would be a solution for this problem? (Other than banning Fortnite altogether!)
Q3. Who is responsible for the Fortnite Addiction in the first place and who is responsible for solving it?

A1. I think that teenagers will get way too addicted and adults probably too. It's worse off that adults play it because it is a 12+ game and if parents with under 12 kids then they might see it and want to play it and their parents will most likely say yes because they are addicted too. Teenagers might bunk off or play it in the middle of school and would get in trouble at school or for bunking off, that's how bad it's getting!
A2. A solution is making Fortnite cost money and it might prevent a lot more people from buying it or upping the age restriction to something like 20 and having a parent account so you have to connect it to your parents for teenagers.
A3. Epic Games are responsible and the founders of Epic Games are Tim Sweeney and Mark Rein so they are mostly to blame. They are also the ones to solve it. Possibly by taking down their game altogether! Personally, I don't like Fortnite that much.

My paperback writer and all about him

This was only a 5 minute quick write so sorry if it is not the best

My paperback writer is a formidable character. He is fearless and friendly. He is only 23 but he has a long beard. His hair is a light brown colour and he plays the didgeridoo. His head is slightly larger than normal and he is about 2 meters tall! He was once out in the wild with his son and he was bitten by a wolf! His leg had to have surgery. He was also lucky his son was there to help him get away from the wolf. Now he has big bite marks down his leg. He looks fierce but is quite gentle. His books are also amazing. He even has a website! His favourite food is cake.

Weekly reflections week 2

This week I got both of my three little pigs things done and blogged. I did get a bit done as well and am pretty well up to date. The highlight of my week was making my 3 little pigs story and had it blogged. I got about 80% in Khan 3rd grade which I still want to complete next week. This week on Wednesday I was in Ms G's classroom because everyone except for me and 4 others went to hockey. Next week I want to get at least 90% in Khan 3rd grade and nothing overdue.

3 little pigs on scratch

 (I fixed the title)

3 little pigs my version

One day there were three little pigs who all lived in brick houses. That fateful day a mutant zombie wandered to the field where they lived. The little pigs were scared of mutant zombies because their mum got eaten by one. The pigs were all outside when they saw it. All the pigs ran into their houses as quick as they could, screaming and yelling. Once inside they realised something. The mutant zombie could smash their houses!! For little pig number one he was shaking in anticipation. He knew he was a goner. Suddenly, he had an idea. The mutant zombie smashed the bricks of his house and peered inside to grab the pig and gobble it up. But no! The little pig wasn't there! The mutant zombie scratched his battered head. Where could he have gone? He smashed down more and more of the house until it was a pile of rubble. He roared. It shook the Earth. Meanwhile the first little pig was really in an underground bunker underneath his armchair. The mutant zombie threw furniture aside, smashing the TV, upturning the table, even ripping the floor up! Soon he came to the armchair. He threw it up in the air and brought it crashing on the roof of the second little pigs house. It hit the roof so fast, it splintered into pieces! The mutant zombie saw the trapdoor. He reached down to grab it. His finger grabbed the handle. When he pulled it open something pink and also something shiny flew out of the hole. It was the little pig! He had a sharp axe in his hand and sliced the zombies fingers clean off! The zombie howled in pain. Despite the fact that he was a bedraggled mess, having his fingers sliced off was very painful. He fell backwards and landed on the other two pigs houses, crushing them to smithereens and killing the other two pigs. The first pig felt a mixture of triumph and depression. Happy that he had killed the zombie but sad because his brothers were dead. Nevertheless, the first little pig rebuilt his house and lived happily ever after, never to be bothered by mutant zombies ever again.
